Going back to school. Thornton Mellon style.

by LZ on February 28, 2009

Monday marks my return to college…sort of. Some ‘unfinished’ business has me taking some classes online before applying to grad school to become a teacher. It’s something I have thought about for a while, and am thrilled to be taking steps to make it a reality. However, my nerves are really kicking in. I will not need to step foot in a classroom for quite a while, but I can not even imagine what to expect. When I was in college, my papers were created on my state-of-the-art Brother word processor (with the flip up screen, of course.) Only the ‘rich kids’ had computers. My roommate had one my senior year, and I don’t think I ever even turned it on. Is there any need to step foot in the library anymore? It really has not been that long, has it? Will I be that old person in class that everyone wonders about and doesn’t want to do projects with? Crap. I’d better get to Hollister and get some new clothes. ;-)
