Sweet & Sour Meatballs

by LZ on April 27, 2009

This is not the fastest recipe, but so good! Well worth the effort and you can freeze some for later. From my mother-in-law.

1 (8 ounce) jar guava jelly
1 (12 ounce) jar chili sauce
1 1/2-2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 egg
1/2 cup water
1 dash garlic pepper seasoning
1/3 cup breadcrumbs

In a large pot, dump guava jelly and chili sauce, and fill chili sauce jar with water and add to the mix. Heat to blend.
Mix beef, rice, egg, water, dash of garlic pepper, bread crumbs in bowl and form meatballs and add to sauce.
Cover and heat on low for 1 1/2 – 2 hours.
