According to An Island Life:
“In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.”
My question today?
What is your favorite holiday, and why?
Mine – Thanksgiving. All the family and friends of Christmas without the chaos of decoration and gifts. Just a nice time to be with the ones you love without the pressure.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at today’s installation of Aloha Friday at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Halloween! I have a huge party every year. I love the costumes!!
I love Christmas!!
Christmas, because I get to spend it with my family! We only get together once a year and I miss them like crazy! Plus people are so much nicer around Christmas… well except for at the malls!!
I have 2 — Thanksgiving (for similar reasons as you) and 4th of July since I love the start of the summer.
I think my favorite holiday is a Jewish one…Shavuot. I love it because you’re SUPPOSED to eat dairy…so we always have tons of types of cheesecake!
The 4th of July! I love pic nics and BBQ and SUMMER and fireworks!
I’m going with the 4th of July. I like to go watch the band and the fireworks. The kids love it!
Of the non-religious holidays I like Thanksgiving the most because of seeing family. Passover is similar for that reason, but the stress related to getting ready makes it off the list.
Christmas of course! I love everything about — the Christmas shopping, watching my kids face lite up Christmas morning and the oh so yummy food.
I really like thanksgiving. I’m a turkey and mashed potatoes fan.
