Is tonight the night?
We made a deal with M. Sleep in her own bed for 4 nights in a row without paying us a visit, and she gets a small present. Sounds harmless enough, right? Well, tonight might be night #4. She has been great, staying in bed all night the last 3 nights, and even falling asleep in her own bed quietly for the last 2. The problem? The present she wants is a frog aquarium. It’s a small plastic ‘tank’ with 3 little frogs and a snail. Why do I have visions of this gift sitting on the table in her room while she whines and begs to sleep with us tomorrow night, or as soon as she gets it? I’m hoping for the best!

To be honest I thought that the title of this article was a bit misleading, if ya know what I mean!
But however much those little frogs cost will be worth it and just hang it over her head that you’ll take ‘em away if she keeps getting up.
So what that you’ll find a dead frog in your shoe when they escape (which is what happened to me and my salamanders when I was little) – won’t that be worth the extra space in your bed at night?? And then you can re-use the title of this article for the right story!

One more thing…
Our rule with Jackson is that he has to at least try it. He has to put it in his mouth and chew. If he doesn’t like it he can spit it out. Kinda gross but it works.
I try to vary what I make him try so every now and then he absolutely loves it so I can say “See, that’s why we try it. To see if we like it.”
The first night it was a bit of a struggle but after that it worked great.
