I feel like other parents feel like I'm hovering whenever I take C anywhere like that. It amazes me how many parents do not watch their kids at all. I try to teach her to go up and down the slide the proper way while their kids are climbing up the wrong way, lying across the slide, etc. You try to teach your kids some manners and how to play nicely w/ others, but there are so many bad examples out there --- it would just be nice if other parents can keep an eye on their kids. On more than one occasion, kids have asked me to help them or play w/ them at these types of places --- maybe if their parents paid them some attention, they wouldn't have to ask a stranger!!!!
