According to An Island Life:
“In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.”
Tomorrow we are celebrating my youngest daughter’s 2nd birthday. Just a small family party with a only a few kids…We’re so excited and can’t believe she is already almost 2!
My question today:
What is the best ‘goodie’ that your child has gotten in a goodie bag? I’d like to do something different, but useful…not something that gets thrown away the minute you get home and has parents asking why we bother!
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at today’s installation of Aloha Friday at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

For that age I did birthday themed fruit snacks, small coloring books & crayons & bubbles…all were tied into the theme of the party……since you have girls I have had friends do hair bows & head bands, silly putty & jump ropes.
LOL ~ My “kiddies” are now 29 and 30, but when they were younger – in their “goody” bags – like Easter baskets etc. – the best thing they ever got was season tickets to Busch Gardens/Water Country! Have a beautiful weekend!

Temporary tattoos! I discovered they’re a way better bribe/reward than stickers because my 2 y/o gets frustrated with stickers bcs he wants to move/restick them a thousand times until they die. And then he cries.
We also got this Thomas party favor once that was like a Rubix (sp?) Cube with just three squares–with diff. characters on each of them. The cubes twist around so you can try to match the Percys and Henrys etc. It was probably a 50 cent favor, and he carried it around everywhere (including to bed) for months.
Enjoy your celebration!

Bubbles always go to good use. Also, sunglasses. Happy Birthday to A!!!
I would say do a craft with kids at party and they take home what they make for a favor. Lots of cool kids friendly crafts out there.

I loved sending them home with a picture of them with the birthday child!
I think the best goodies were the homemade cookies.
I “made” goodie bags one year by decorating cloth bags & then putting in sippy cups, lg crayons, heavy cheap paper & dollar store board books. The kids (2) loved them & the moms did too. I think the only candy in them was maybe snack size teddy grahams.

I loved slap bracelets as a kid but they are hard to find and expensive now!
My son has gotten a lot of different ones. Some have had crayons, stickers, pencils, books and snacks. My oldest has a birthday right before school starts. I go to the sales at Target and buy supplies that the kids will use (age appropriate) for them to have fun with and usually a coloring book.

We used to give out snacks, pencils, crayons, erasers. At two years of age a small toy might work…a lego type set???
