ach, men don’t know what they are talking about. My husband said that too to me.
I was feeling terrible pressure to lose weight now that I’m in Switzerland, even more than in NY because people are pretty skinny as a rule here.
And yet, someone on the bus the other day told me I looked like I was in my 20s, and today – I’m ashamed to admit this, or rather, I’m ashamed to say after horrified I was kind of flattered by this – a teenager passed me by, smiled appreciatively and said “Wow, you’re Hot”.
So I’m sorry honey, you don’t know what you are talking about. Neither does yours

There are some things it’s okay to lie about: saying you look younger than you are – definitely one of them. But really, 30s aren’t old! Save it for when you’re in your 40s wishing you were still in your 30s. Funny post!

I showed up for my first day coaching x-c practice at my old college, and those 18-year-olds made me feel ancient (not by anything they said–they’re very nice, of course). It seemed inconceivable to them that anyone who went to school there in the 90′s could still be alive.

At least now I have a reason for being out and about in track clothes every damn day (besides the elastic waistbands and lack of underwire).

This post made me laugh. When I turned 30 my best male friend gave me a card that said “Congrats on turning 30. Your next step is to get your hair cut like your mother’s” Ugh

You need to give yourself some more “out of pony tail days”. Don’t forget to be good to yourself too!

I completely relate to this. I thought I was the only one that felt this way. I’m a horrible judge of people’s ages because I don’t have the right picture of myself in my head. Everybody seems older than me in my opinion but in actuality, it’s likely the reverse.
