I’ve always loved coloring my hair too. It began in highschool. I would color my hair often and often different shades / colors. Now I am not so good at it. i love having my niece in cosmetology school though. She highlighted my hair about a month ago and then put some color on it for Thanksgiving. It’s addicting.

Sun-In was a common mistake for my friends when I was young. I never did it because I have dark brown hair and I figured it would orange me up. But then again, it oranged everyone!

One thing I never did was color my hair. I’ve made many other fashion blunders and have beautified myself unnecessarily in other ways but not with hair color. So many days I look at my tired, wan, pale face and think “maybe highlights will do the trick!” and I back away (mostly because I’m cheap). I think I’ll say dark brunette until I go gray and then maybe I’ll hit the foils! Or maybe sun-in!

I hate roots too! I’m phasing back to my natural color. I have light brown hair and last winter I went really dark brown and my stylist had to dye my eyebrows to match my hair because they were too blonde!

I did the sun-in thing too when I was yournger. Dark brown faded to carrot orange. Yuck. Funny thing though, I had gone on a job interview with Sun-In orange, got hired and then decided I needed to look more professional. Went backt o dark brown.

First day on this new job and the man that hired me said “II could have sworn you were a blonde”. (Ooops)
