M is dramatic. Everything is a catastrophe. Everything needs attention right away. When I hear her call my name, I listen carefully to her tone before deciding how quickly to react. Just the other day, she called to me.
“Mom, I have a situation here.”
It wasn’t said while crying. She didn’t yell it too loud. My code breaking skills tell me either 1) She has misplaced one of her toys that was in her hand 5 seconds ago 2) The show she was watching has ended and she doesn’t like the next one 3) Abs has a stinky diaper and M would like me to attend to it.
I told her I’d be there in a minute.
“Mom, I need some help. NOW!”
So I went to check it out.
Here’s what I found:
She tried to take a seat on the cat post and her pjs got stuck.
So, like any good Mom, I left her there for a few minutes, helpless and stuck, while I got my camera.
