Was your favorite team eliminated from the playoffs {ahem…New England Patriots}? Or are you an Indy or NO fan who is excited to watch the game? Even if you have no intention of watching the Superbowl, you can snack like a fan!

Quick and Easy Taco Salad Dip (low fat version of all cheeses are fine)

Layer the following in a serving dish:

  • 12 oz. cream cheese mixed with taco seasoning (mild, medium or hot, depending on tastes)
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes
  • Shredded cheddar or taco cheese
  • Top with salsa

Serve with tortilla chips

If you want a heartier dip, try adding the following as additional layers:

  • Olives
  • Raw, chopped onions
  • Cooked ground beef
  • Sour cream

Yum, I am making this. I don’t watch the game, only the commercials.

My MIL makes a dip similar to this and it’s a huge hit with everyone. Now if we could just teach the kids (and some of the adults) not to double dip!

I honestly still can’t get into football for the life of me–especially if Tom Brady isn’t involved–but it is one of the best snacking holidays of the year. Have fun!
