Where can I buy some energy?

There are some days, when the girls are in bed and I’m relaxing and I think “I really didn’t DO much at all today.” There are days that we don’t leave the house or get outside, and I am exhausted! I don’t know how some moms do it…on the go all day long. They keep full schedules with playdates and other activities, and manage not to fall asleep by 8:30. I know that is the kind of day I should have. It is the type of day the girls would love, and it would fly by. So why don’t I do it? Because it’s tough! M is not so tough to pack for, but A and her allergies? I would have to pack up an entire days worth of meals for her (No milk, eggs or nuts – harder to manage out of the house, as you never know what you can truly trust.)

But, honestly? It would take make 5 minutes to make a few sandwiches or some pasta and a few snacks. I just putter around and procrastinate when it comes to getting ready to leave the house. I think I’m developing a bit of agoraphobia. Just kidding – a little. I just always want to be home. It takes the girls bouncing off the walls before I decide we need to get out.

I just put together a schedule for the Summer that includes daily, out of the house activities, and I plan to stick with it. With M not in school for the first time in a couple years, this will be a challenge!

I need to go sit on the couch and finish my coffee…M’s playdate is on the way over. That is a big step for me!

Do you know know who you’re dealing with?

I just checked my stats on RecipeZaar.com, and 100% of my recipes are saved in someone’s cookbook. Oh, those poor families! The only one worth making is Deb’s Sweet and Sour Meatballs. I tried some allergy-friendly cookbooks and posted the recipe for Grilled Chicken Sunbutter Noodles. Blech. I hope no one attempts that. I should have expected the outcome when the recipes instructed me to mix Italian dressing with a peanut butter substitute. Desperate times, desperate measures, I guess!

UPDATE – 3 of my recipes got reviewed, and I got 5 stars for the Sweet and Sour Meatballs, and 4 stars for Baked Ziti and Lemon Broccoli Chicken. Yay for me!
